PFAG Head of Player Relations, Yussif Chibsah, has appealed to GFA to consider lauching an investigations into the marijuna (weed) allegations leveled against locally based footballers by coach JE Sarpong
The veteran football coach on Accra based radio station last week, emphatically said 60% of players playing in Ghana smokes weed before a league game, and said the act has been in the system for a very long time.
This statement was not pleasing to some footballers, and a key notable name to react is, Aduana Stars skipper, Yahaya Mohammed, who furiously rebuked the 71-year-old for his comment and ask him to appologies to the players and GFA
Speaking on the matter in a capacity of a group, who seek the interest of players first, Chibsah condemned coach Sarpong for not going to the FA to make those complaints and believes the former Olympics gaffer, is somebody who is highly respected by all and if he did, the FA wouldve listen and look into the matter instead of going to the media to make those allegations, but havent said that, chibsah charged the FA to look into the situation and find a solution to it
